Acceptable Use Policy
A short list of things that will get your service suspended.
Effective 28 August 2026 · Gate Zero Wireless™, operated by Spark Fire Technologies
This policy exists to protect other subscribers, our network, and people outside it. It applies to every Gate Zero service, including the Cloud Browser.
Prohibited
- Illegal activity. Anything unlawful under federal, state or local law.
- Unauthorised access. Probing, scanning or attempting to breach systems you do not own or have written permission to test.
- Attacks. Denial-of-service traffic, amplification or reflection abuse, or participating in a botnet.
- Unsolicited bulk email. Sending spam, or operating an open relay or open proxy.
- Forgery. Spoofing source addresses, forging email headers, or impersonating another person or network.
- Child sexual abuse material. Zero tolerance. Reported to NCMEC and law enforcement, service terminated immediately and permanently.
- Infringement. Distributing copyrighted material you have no right to distribute.
- Reselling. Reselling or redistributing residential service without a written agreement with us.
- Interference. Deliberately interfering with radio spectrum, tampering with our equipment, or altering CPE configuration to exceed your provisioned rate.
Network integrity
We do not impose arbitrary limits on lawful applications or protocols. We do reserve the right to act on traffic that threatens the network itself — an active attack, a compromised device flooding a sector, or a device causing radio interference. Where we act, we act on the traffic causing harm, in the narrowest way that resolves it.
Enforcement
Most problems are a compromised device rather than deliberate misuse, so our usual first step is to contact you. Where the harm is ongoing or severe we may suspend service first and notify you immediately after. Suspension for cause does not relieve you of amounts owed.
Reporting abuse
Report abuse originating from our network to our abuse contact. Include timestamps with time zone, source and destination addresses, and any relevant log excerpts. We investigate every credible report.
